Government invites media to apply for accreditation for funeral service of Mendi Msimang

Media accreditation for the funeral service of the late Mr Mendi Msimang

On Saturday, 08 December 2018, government will host the Special Official Funeral service of the late Mr Mendi Msimang.

Members of the media who wish to cover the funeral service are requested to apply for accreditation by submitting their details online through the link: All fields must be completed.

The application process closes at 12h00 on Friday, 07 December 2018. Thereafter, applicants will be advised on the collection of accreditation.

The funeral service will be held on Saturday, 08 December 2018 starting from 08h00 at Christian Revival Church, Lynnwood Road, Pretoria.

President Cyril Ramaphosa has accorded Mr Msimang a Special Official Funeral Category 1, which entails elements of military ceremonial honours in line with the policy on State and Provincial official funerals.

The funeral service is open to the public to attend and those who would like to send messages of condolence to the family are advised to make use of condolence books placed at the following points:
