Wanted suspect arrested by police

KING WILLIAMS TOWN – In a crime intelligence driven operation by Cape Town Hawks (DPCI) together with King William’s Town Cluster Detectives led to the arrest of a 36-year-old male from Zone 10, Zwelitsha yesterday.

The arrest comes after Hawks from Cape Town linked the suspect on a case of Cash in Transit that occurred in Cape Town. The Detective followed the information and managed to arrest the suspect that is wanted for cash in transit, possession of stolen vehicle, attempted murder and possession of firearm.

The suspect will appear at Zwelitsha Magistrate Court today.

King William’s Town SAPS Cluster Commander Brigadier Luntu Ngubelanga appreciated the efforts by Police in following any information that led to the arrest of this suspect. This shows that Police will not stop investigating the case until they see that the perpetrator is behind bars, he added.
