Man (40) arrested for rape of two children

EASTERN CAPE – Ngqamakhwe Police arrested a 40-year-old man for alleged rapes of two (02) children aged 10 and 12 respectively. It is alleged that both girls were playing in the yard of the suspect and pushed each other inside the house of the suspect.

The suspect had a chance of raping both victims on Friday, 14 February 2020 during the day at Shweme Locality, Daza Village, Ngqamakhwe. The parents of the victims became aware of the rapes on Sunday, 23 February 2020. The crime was then reported to the police.

Ngqamakhwe Police acted swiftly as they traced and arrested the suspect. The suspect is due to appear before the Ngqamakhwe Magistrates Court on Tuesday, 25 February 2020 on charges of rape.
