DMRE hosts the 2nd Northern Cape Mining and Energy Investment Conference

The Minister of Mineral Resources and Energy, Mr Gwede Mantashe (MP), will on Thursday, 29 June 2023, officially open the 2nd Northern Cape Mining and Energy Investment Conference at the Mittah Seperepere Convention Centre, Kimberley. Convened in partnership with the Northern Cape Provincial Government under the theme “Realising Northern Cape’s Investment Potential in Mining,” the conference seeks to encourage and optimise private sector investment in the province. It provides a platform to mobilise partnerships as well as galvanize support and market investment opportunities in the province.

The 2023 conference reflect on the progress on investments realised by various companies and investors in line with their commitments made at the 2022 conference. This year’s programme is comprised of fireside chats with mining and energy industry captains on topics such as: Critical and Strategic Minerals in the African Context; Energy Solutions as a Critical Enabler; and Incentives and Uplifts to Boost Exploration and Mining.
