North West Coorporative Governance, Human Settlements and Traditional Affairs remains steadfast on delivering services amid unfounded critics

COGHSTA to remain steadfast on delivering services amid unfounded critics.

The Department of Human Settlements in the North West and the office of the MEC for Coorporative Governance, Human Settlements and Traditional Affairs Nono Maloyi condemns the insinuation by the Democratic Alliance that suggest that the handing over of over 1700 title deeds in Ditsobotla was a way of using state resources to buy votes. MEC Maloyi together with four other MEC’s handed over title deeds as part of MEC Maloyi’s commitment to make sure that a serious backlog on the delivery of title deeds and housing delivery is achieved as well as part of North West Government delivery BLITZ.
With only 14 days in office as an MEC, Maloyi committed to work around the clock to address service delivery issues in all municipalities and ensure that all the reported backlogs are addressed. Therefore the handing over of title deeds in Itsoseng and the upcoming handing over of houses is part of MEC Maloyi’s programme of delivering on his promises, for the remaining 13 months of the 6th administration.
The department therefore would like to dismiss all the unfounded allegations by the DA, trying to score cheap political points by criticising service delivery venture, which will continue to change the lives of the people of Ditsobotla and the rest of the province. This is indeed disappointing that such criticism can come at this juncture where the district development model is specific on delivery of integrated services delivery to communities.
Speaking during the handing over of title deeds MEC Maloyi, clearly indicated that the handing over of Title Deeds had nothing to do with municipal elections in Ditsobotla and further assured beneficiaries that he will continue to work around the clock to ensure that their lives are changed for the better.
MEC Maloyi made a specific reference to serious challenges such as, provision of water, load shedding, job creations, Housing backlog, roads infrastructure and many other, saying government is working harder to address such challenges. He promised that the government will ensure that such services are delivered where they are mostly needed, in a short period that he will serve as the MEC for COGHSTA.
