SAPS Laudium members arrest three suspects and recover tower batteries following a tip-off

The prevention and combatting of essential infrastructure related crime remain a top priority for the South African Police Service (SAPS).

Three suspects were arrested earlier today, 14 May 2022, by members of SAPS Laudium for possession of suspected stolen property.

The SAPS members reportedly received a tip-off and immediately proceeded to an identified address in Laudium. Upon their arrival at the said address the members found three suspects in possession of tower batteries; they allegedly attempted to sell the batteries.

The trio was subsequently arrested and expected to appear before a Magistrates’ Court soon.
