The MEC for Community Safety and Transport, Ms Weziwe Tikana-Gxothiwe and the Eastern Cape Acting Provincial Commissioner, Maj Gen Zithulele Dladla will on Thursday, 28 October 2021 launch the 2021\/2022 Annual Provincial Safer Festive Season Operations in Nelson Mandela Bay Metro.<\/P>
<\/P>
The SAPS Annual Safer Festive Season Operations will be launched under the theme \u2018Extending our reach through blue light visibility,\u2019 and is aimed at making South Africa a safer place during the festive season running up to 31 January 2022.<\/P>
<\/P>
The focus will be on visible policing and conducting special crime awareness and prevention operations targeting crimes prevalent during this period such as crimes against women and children, border security and contravention of the road traffic regulations.<\/P>
