GQEBERHA – SAPS Mount Road members arrested an alleged suspect soon after responding to a call of a housebreaking at a business premises in North End this morning, 20 February 2022.
\nIt is alleged that at about 02:00, police were attending to a positive housebreaking when they noticed two people walking towards them. When the woman saw them, she dropped her bag and ran off. The male, in his 30\u2019s was found carrying a high pressure K\u2019Archer and cables. Another compressor was also found near them. The stolen items were identified by the owner as belonging to him. Entry to the premises was gained by breaking the glass door and burglar bars.
\nThe suspect is detained on charges of possession of suspected stolen property and housebreaking. He is expected to appear in court soon.<\/p>\n
