Vigilant police in Douglas nabbed two adult males for dealing in dagga worth approximately R330 000.<\/p>\n
On Friday 3 June 2022 at about 09:30 the police held a roadblock on the R357 near Douglas. The members spotted a vehicle turning abruptly onto a gravel road and ensued the suspects.<\/p>\n
The grey Mercedes Benz was stopped and searched and police discovered five bags of dagga stashed in the boot. The dagga weighs about 66kg.<\/p>\n
Police also confiscated the vehicle as it was allegedly utilized in the commission of crime.<\/p>\n
The suspects should be appearing in the Douglas Magistrates Court soon on charges of dealing in dagga.<\/p>\n
The Station Commander of Douglas SAPS, Lt Col Alfred Matantshane commended his members for their loyalty and diligence when performing their duties, as it resulted in this outstanding arrests.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
