NELSPRUIT – The law enforcement agencies in Mpumalanga seems to be conquering the battle against theft, robbery and hijacking of vehicles in the province. This is evident by the arrest of a 44-year-old male suspect. Credit should be given to Middleburg Flying Squad and the Tracking Company which managed to gather information regarding a Ford Ranger double cab bakkie, whereby an enquiry was opened in Protea Glen (in Gauteng Province) earlier today, 15 February 2023. This crucial information was shared with SAPS members from Middelburg Flying Squad.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
A joint sting operation between the SAPS and Car Tracker Company was then conducted. The vehicle was spotted with one occupant at Schoenland near Vosman outside Witbank. The suspect was arrested for possession of suspected stolen motor vehicle meanwhile the car was seized.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
The suspect is expected to appear at the Emalahleni Magistrate’s Court facing the said charges.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
The Provincial Commissioner of the SAPS in Mpumalanga, Lieutenant General Semakaleng Daphney Manamela has welcomed the arrest as well as the recovery of the vehicle.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
